The Broadway actress was rushed to hospital while filming a guest spot on the drama in June, after a lighting rig fell on her head, fracturing her skull.
Chenoweth, who plays a powerful political reporter on the Emmy-winning series, said that the injury has left her with some side-effects, including forgetfulness.
In her first television interview since the injury on ABC's Live! With Kelly & Michael, she said: "I couldn't really form a sentence very well after it happened. I'm the queen of multi-tasking - I'm not so good at that right now.
"There's still some pain and issues, but I just feel so blessed and lucky and grateful because it could have been a lot worse."
Chenoweth made a return to filming on The Good Wife earlier this month.
