Chad Johnson 'refuses to divorce' Evelyn Lozado

Evelyn Lozado's pending split from estranged husband Chad Johnson has been stalled because he has apparently refused to sign divorce papers.

The Basketball Wives star says she has not spoken to the football player since he allegedly physically assaulted her during a dispute last month.



Sources tell TMZ that Johnson is keen on making their marriage work, and says he will not take part in the divorce proceedings.

However, under a Florida state law the divorce can still go through if Lozado is able to obtain a judge's approval.

Lozado was recently quoted saying that her relationship with Johnson "cannot be repaired" after the assault.

Neither Johnson nor Lozado have commented publicly on the progress of their divorce proceedings.
