Jolie: "Brad was a huge surprise to me"

Angelina Jolie says her relationship with Brad Pitt was not planned, but rather came as a "huge surprise".

The 31-year-old had previously been linked with Pitt during the filming of spy action comedy Mr And Mrs Smith, but told US Vogue nothing had happened at that point.

Jolie explained: "Brad was a huge surprise to me. We ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange, friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened. It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realise that it might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe."
