The 'Boyfriend' singer explained that his mother Pattie Mallette was with him most of the time as a youngster, but now that he is recognised as an adult he has spent less time with her.
"Now being 18, before I was round her all the time, I'd look forward to her leaving," he told Aled Jones on Daybreak.
"Now it's like, 'When's mum getting back?'"
Bieber stated that he will never tire of the hardcore nature of his fans, as he is aware that many stars would like his kind of followers.
"I never get fed up of it, I feel so blessed. So many people wish to have the fanbase I have," he commented.
The singer recently launched his first female fragrance Girlfriend, which he said was for his fans: "It's dedicated to my fans and anyone who wants to smell like what I want to smell like."
He also spoke about his tell-all book Just Getting Started, stating that it gives his fans an opportunity to know him better.
"[The book shows a] behind-the-scenes of my tour and what I do when I'm on the road, some stories and to get to know the real me.
"I'd like fans to get to know me more, it's hard for them to get to know me."
Talking about his new 'Believe' tour, which kicks off in the US later this month, he added: "People can expect something new, something different.
"David Blaine is on my tour, he's doing a little bit of magic for my show, when I appear. I can't give too much away."
Justin Bieber recently said that he doesn't want to be "just another teen heartthrob".
