'Top Gun' director Tony Scott leaves $1 million to family

Tony Scott left his entire fortune to his wife and children in the wake of his recent alleged suicide, it has been reported.

The Top Gun director jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles in August 19.

Despite initial reports that Scott was suffering from an inoperable brain tumor, an apparent suicide note revealed no motives.

According to TMZ, the director's money has been placed in a trust for his wife Donna W. Scott and 12-year old twin sons.

Documents filed at a probate court in LA County reveal that Scott's entire estate, worth $1,250,000 (£770,202), will be left in the Tony Scott Family Trust.

Scott's family recently set up a film scholarship at AFI in honour of his memory.
