Sarah Silverman has released a video criticising new US voter ID laws.
Controversial laws are being introduced in various states across the country which require particular photographic identification in order to vote.
The comedian has slammed the decision, as it means many people across the US are unable to vote.
In one particular point, she sarcastically says: "If you want fair, go to Canada you hippy!".
Noting that those with gun IDs are able to vote while student IDs are not allowed, she jokes that her elderly grandmother should get a weapon so that she can vote in the next election.
Silverman has launched a website that will help people living in each state know what type of ID they will need.
Barack and Michelle Obama will appear on ABC daytime show The View tomorrow (September 24).
