Diaz disturbed by 'size zero' trend
Cameron Diaz has described the 'size zero' trend as "tragic and sad".

The Charlie's Angels actress has called for the fashion industry to take responsibility for the images they are putting out and to recognise the effect that they could have on young teens.

"I think it's terrifying, it’s tragic and sad. I think that it’s a sickness, something that’s going on in someone’s head where their perspective is off," she explained in an interview with Parkinson. "It's difficult, I think that we certainly get ideals from images that we see and there certainly should be more responsibility put on those people who are putting those images out into the world. Let's be a little bit more responsible to what’s realistic."

She added: "I'm a skinny girl so all my life all I have ever wanted to be is curvaceous and voluptuous, you know? Have everything falling out everywhere! It doesn't work for me - I aspire to do that so I personally don’t understand it either. Some people just, you know, their perception and their perspective is completely askew."

Parkinson airs at 10.30pm tonight on ITV1.
