The Sons of Anarchy actor was discovered dead in a driveway in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles yesterday (September 27).
He is also considered to be a suspect in the murder of 81-year-old Catherine Davis, who was also found dead inside the 'Writer's Villa' property.
Davis is said to have rented out the bed-and-breakfast property to various celebrities for around $1,650 to $3,000 per month, reports TMZ.
Thomas Jane, 30 Rock's Chris Parnell, Parker Posey, comedian Paula Poundstone and Chuck's Matt Bomer are reportedly among other stars who have previously stayed at the house.
Police have also stated that they believe Lewis killed and dismembered his victim's cat inside the home.
A handyman and neighbour were also reportedly badly beaten after a confrontation with Lewis, before the actor is thought to have fallen to his death.
Lewis played Dennis Childress on The OC and Kip 'Half-Sack' Epps on Sons of Anarchy for two seasons.
