Chris Cornell is reportedly being sued by his former maid.

The Soundgarden frontman and his wife Vicky are the subject of a lawsuit launched by Elia Mora for unfair dismissal, TMZ reports.

Mora was hired by the couple to clean their house back in 2006, before being dismissed on Boxing Day last year.

The lawsuit claims that Vicky Cornell asked Mora to come back for more work, but she declined to do so. The singer's wife then allegedly launched a tirade of verbal abuse on Mora before firing her.

The cleaner also states that she had worked 43 hours a week with no overtime, and that she was not granted uninterrupted 30-minute lunches or 10-minute rest periods during her time working at the house.

A spokesperson for the Cornells has yet to respond to the lawsuit claims.

Chris Cornell's Soundgarden will release their long-awaited sixth studio album King Animal on November 12.
