The Franklin & Bash star split from Kaplan several months ago, E! Online reports.
The couple are now going to get a divorce, sources have claimed.
Meyer and Kaplan, who have been married for nearly 11 years, have an 8-year-old daughter called Caitlin Willow.
Meyer's spokesperson has not yet commented on the reports.
The news comes shortly after it emerged that Franklin & Bash, which also stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, has been renewed for a third season by TNT.
