Nicole Richie has asked her father to fund a chauffeur after a driving offence that could see her serve jail time.
The socialite was allegedy caught by the police driving down a highway the wrong way, whilst under the influence of drugs.
But father Lionel Richie reportedly asked his 25-year-old adopted daughter if there was anything he could do to help after her run-in with the LAPD.
A source told The Mirror, "After his wild youth Lionel feels that he doesn't have the right to lecture.
"He wanted to let Nicole know that if she needed anything like counselling, more rehab, he would be happy to help her. Nicole confessed that the only thing she could think of that would help her right now was a chauffeur."
