The mosaic artwork was given to the Take That singer by his mother for his 40th birthday, but it was smashed by workmen at his home, The Sun reports.

The piece of art - which contains 50 photos of Barlow throughout his life - was knocked off a wall by builders. However, the accident was kept a secret from the star.
Matthew Andrew created the piece worth £3,000, and was told by panicked builders that they needed it replaced.
He said: "They phoned me up in a panic and said, 'We've smashed Gary Barlow's portrait, can you make us another one?'
"I made them a new one within a week and they came to collect it – so I don't know whether Gary knows about it to this day.
"He was out of the country at the time, in Africa, recording the Queen's Diamond Jubilee song."
Gary Barlow recently revealed that he has no time for "tittle tattle" about his life in the press.
