Scissor Sisters to donate to charity
The Scissor Sisters are to donate some proceeds from their latest UK tour to charity.

The New York band will help 17 organisations in total, giving money raised during last month's UK arena tour. They have already made their donation to one of the causes, the Simon Centre in Glasgow which helps homeless people.

Sarah Hunter, the fundraising manager for the organisation said: “Obviously we were over the moon that such a big band were using their influence to raise money. It will be enough to run the soup kitchen for a month.”

The band gave £1,300 to the charity.
