Moss denies Doherty marriage ceremony

Kate Moss's spokesman has denied reports that she married Pete Doherty in a ceremony in Thailand.

The pair were pictured celebrating at a villa on the island of Phuket over the new year weekend and The Sun reported that they were formalising their relationship in a Buddhist ceremony.

However, Stuart Higgins said the supermodel was just holidaying with her partner. "Contrary to various entirely false media reports today, there has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand," he insisted. "She is on holiday."

The newspaper added that that, since the ceremony is not legally binding in the UK, they would officially tie the knot on January 18.

Meanwhile, David Williams, of Ladbrokes bookmaker, said the firm had stopped taking bets on the pair's marriage. It is offering odds of 4/1 that they will divorce before 2008 and 10/1 that they will then re-marry.
