Demi Moore has spoken out about her relationship with Ashton Kutcher, expressing her surprise at the initial romance.

The actress married Kutcher in 2005, having met him two years earlier. The couple share a 16-year age gap, and Moore has three children from a previous marriage.

The two were friends before they fell in love, but Moore recalls having no intention of a romantic link at first: "If somebody would have said, 'OK, here is the prediction: You're going to meet a man (who is) 25 years old and he's going to see being with you and having your three kids as a bonus,' I would have said, 'Keep dreaming,'" she told Vanity Fair.

"I think it (the romance) caught us both by surprise, and particularly him," she continued. "He was in this real rise of his career just as we met, which, for a young man, is prime opportunity for heavy-duty play."

Moore also hinted that the couple may be looking to have children together in the future, musing: "Once you hit three, when you're outnumbered, it's really, like, what's the difference between (three or) four or five?"
