Madonna praised by Malawian government
Published Saturday, Jan 6 2007, 16:43 GMT | By Daniel Kilkelly

Although the singer has faced criticism from human rights organisations since the controversial adoption was finalised in October, Malawi's principal secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Adrina Mchiela, has confirmed that the government are pleased with Madonna.
The news comes just days after David's father claimed that he was unable to contact the star.
"We have been monitoring her and so far we see a loving mother in Madonna and David is very fine," Mchiela explained. "The father should not be worried."
