Celebs seeking new boss for island

The celebrity residents of a small Caribbean island - who include Sir Mick Jagger, Bryan Adams, Tommy Hilfiger and Felix Dennis - are seeking a new boss for their tropical haven.

The stars are accompanied on Mustique by a list of some of world's richest businessmen and entrepreneurs. Those said to have holidayed there include Prince William and Kate Middleton, Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan, and Zöe Ball and Norman Cook.

Its legal system, school and amenities have all been overseen by 'manager' Brian Alexander since 1969 when it was bought and converted to the luxurious retreat by Colin Tennant, Lord Glenconner.

However Alexander is retiring in April and has appointed a headhunting firm to find a replacement. They will benefit from a £500,000 salary along with a maid, a chef and, of course, a home on the resort.

"It’s a broad ranging job," the outgoing chief told the Daily Mail. "The ideal candidate may have expertise in the hospitality industry or perhaps be ex-military." He added that Sir Mick and Adams would be among those leading the selection of his replacement.
