Vorderman questions Russell's gender

Carol Vorderman has launched an unprovoked attack on Big Brother presenter Russell Brand, claiming she can't tell what gender he really is.

The Countdown host told The Sun that the controversial comedian - known for his promiscuity and foul language - couldn't compare to the likes of Ken Dodd and her new co-host Des O'Connor.

"They really had to learn the skills of being a comedian and stage work," she explained, then added: "So what do you have? A swearing, strange person, not a hermaphrodite, but one of those you're not quite sure what he is - Russell Brand."

She continued: "I don't fancy him. I don't know if he's trying to be a boy or a girl."
