David Beckham plucked up the courage to move to Los Angeles after wife Victoria convinced him it was for the best, according to a report today.
The footballer had hoped for a return to the Premiership if he failed to sign a new deal with Real Madrid, but Posh encouraged him to go for his high-profile contract with LA Galaxy. She has already flew out to the US to look for houses.
A source told the News of the World: "David wanted desperately to get back into the England team and the Premiership. But Victoria convinced him it would be better for their boys, their security and future to go to Los Angeles. His decision was swung by the fact his sons will have a better life."
