Timberlake speaks about Diaz split

Justin Timberlake has spoken about his split from Cameron Diaz for the first time.

The singer and the actress broke up earlier this week, initially releasing a joint statement describing their parting as being "with love and respect for one another".

However, although Timberlake has broken his silence, he has not had much to say so far. He told the audience at a show on Monday that "sometimes love isn't so easy", adding that his schedule is taking his mind off the situation.

"Yeah, it's great," he told radio presenter Ryan Seacrest, when asked if his busy lifestyle was a good thing at the moment. "I'm on tour and it's awesome," he added.
