Beckham waxworks revealed in the US

Waxworks of David and Victoria Beckham have been unveiled at Madame Tussauds in New York.

Decked out in American flags, the wax doubles are joined by a wax figure of President Bush holding a sign reading: "Welcome to America".

The event was held to mark the Beckhams' forthcoming move to Los Angeles, after David Beckham signed a five-year contract with LA Galaxy.

According to the Daily Mail, visitors have been encouraged to embrace and even kiss the figures, in addition to having photos taken with them.

The General Manager of Madame Tussauds, Janine DiGioacchino said: "We are every excited to give visitors the chance to get up close and personal with Posh and David Beckham.

"Posh and Becks are celebrity icons in England and already on the path to stardom in the United States."
