Jamelia speaks out over cheating claims

Pop star Jamelia has spoken out over claims that her footballer boyfriend cheated on her.

The singer's boyfriend, Millwall player Darren Byfeild, was accused of sleeping with a blonde behind Jamelia's back.

But Jamelia, who has been nominated for a Brit Award later this year, she told The Sun, "Being a footballer, Darren is in a position where girls can sell stories about him.

"Some girls see it as a money-making scheme and don't think about the impact it can have on a family."

The singer previously told the newspaper that she would "chop his b***s off" if he were unfaithful to her.

She later told Company: "The story was rubbish, but still enough to shake us as a family. Everyone knows we love each other. I'm 99.9 per cent sure he'd never cheat on me."
