Kylie Minogue splits from French lover

Kylie Minogue has confirmed that she has split from French actor Olivier Martinez after four years.

The pair released a joint statement through their management which assured fans that the split was "mutual" and "amicable".

It read: "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple. They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The media's false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends."

Minogue has previously praised Martinez for his "incredible" support throughout her battle against breast cancer. The pair were expected to marry following Kylie's recovery, but reports over the last two months sparked rumours that their relationship had become increasingly strained.
