Timberlake speaks to Diaz on birthday

Justin Timberlake was overcome with emotion earlier this week when he performed to fans on his birthday.

The Sexyback singer played a sell-out gig at the Ball Centre in Montreal, Canada - and received a special phone-call from ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz before going on stage.

A source told the Daily Star: "Justin and Cam only split last month after being together since 2003. So it's still hard for him. They are trying to stay in touch and maintain their friendship.

"But birthdays are always emotional. And Cameron called him just before he went on stage to wish him luck for the gig - and for the rest of his life. It really moved him. And his lower lip kept trembling every now and then throughout the concert, whenever he looked at the fans' adoring banners."
