Phil Spector trial to be televised?
Published Thursday, Feb 8 2007, 13:05 GMT | By David Cribb
The murder trial of Phil Spector could be televised publicly, according to the judge.
The legendary record producer will be tried for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson nearly four years ago. The case was scheduled to begin in September 2005, but has been rescheduled three times since then.
Now Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler says that he thinks the public should be able to see the trial unfold, claiming: “This is a trial of public interest."
The legal teams involved in the case are thought to be considering the options, with no comments being made at present.
Spector is currently on bail in America worth $1million.
