Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider ruled last week that the body be preserved until February 20.
However, the DNA necessary for the legal battle over the paternity of her child has already been obtained and today a judge ruled that he saw no reason to prevent the burial further.
An attorney for lawyer Howard K. Stern - one of several men claiming paternity over the child in question - told ABC News, "California has no need for the body of Anna Nicole."
There had been concerns that the body, which had not been embalmed, would not be suitable for an open casket, but plans for a "proper burial" are now going ahead.
