New York Daily News freelancer Marcus Santos claimed in June that Baldwin punched and shoved him during a confrontation outside the city's marriage licence bureau.

Baldwin strenuously denied that he had struck Santos, explaining that he instead simply pushed the photographer for blocking his way.
An informant has now told The New York Post that the Manhattan District Attorney's Office has chosen not to formally charge the star.
Baldwin will escape prosecution because his behaviour did not rise to the level of a crime, according to the source.
"No charges will be brought. The matter has been dropped entirely," the insider commented.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office and Baldwin's spokesperson chose not to comment on this development.
Baldwin ultimately used the marriage licence he was granted prior to the scuffle to wed Hilaria Thomas on June 30.
