Danny DeVito denies 'wandering eye' led to Rhea Perlman split

Danny DeVito has denied that his alleged flirtatious manner led to his split from wife Rhea Perlman.

The couple announced their separation on Monday (October 8) after more than 40 years together.



DeVito was subsequently the subject of a RadarOnline report claiming that his "wandering eye" broke up the pair's long marriage.

An apparentd insider told the website: "Danny's actually quite the womaniser... If he sees an attractive girl in a coffee shop or walking down the street, he will give her the eye.

"After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped… She had enough of his bad-boy behaviour and wanted an end to their marriage."



DeVito and Perlman's spokesperson responded by insisting that the rumours are a "fabrication" in a statement to Gossip Cop.

The pair met in 1971 at a performance of DeVito's play The Shrinking Bride, eventually marrying in 1982.

They are parents to three children - Lucy, Grace and Jacob.
