Anna Nicole tried to befriend Britney

Anna Nicole Smith reportedly sent a video message to Britney Spears six months before her tragic death earlier this month.

US Weekly reports that the video features an 8-months-pregnant Smith asking Spears, who was expecting a child at the same time, if they could spend time together once their babies were born.

Smith reportedly said: "If you see this for some oddball reason – because I look at your stuff, too (Spears’ website) – and you want to be friends, I would love so much to hang out with you.

“I think you’re totally cool, and I think we’re about to have babies around the same time. I would just love to meet you.”

However, a friend told the magazine that Spears never met Smith because "Britney is so wrapped up in her own world and herself that she just doesn’t care.”
