Kaisers shocked at setting up own gear

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has admitted that his band was recently shocked when they had to book their own rehearsal room and set up the drum kit themselves recently.
The Kaisers were brought back to earth when they entered a rehearsal space in Leeds, having booked the room personally. Drummer Nick Hodgson was so out of practice in setting up his gear, that it took him two hours to arrange his kit.
"When it came to recording the new album we wanted to go back to our old rehearsal rooms," Wilson laughed. "We had to go in and set up our own kit. We were absolutely f****d. We've become pampered rock stars. We hadn't set up our own kit for over two years and didn't have a bloody clue what we were doing. It took Nick over two hours to set up his drums. We were like children."
However, the experience was good for the band according to Wilson, who feared the group were becoming slightly too big for their boots: “We got in contact with Mark, our friend who runs a rehearsal studios in Old Chapel in Leeds, and we had to wait for a room just like everyone else. It was quite humbling actually."
