Vinnie Jones filmed kissing Russian singer, claims he was set up

Vinnie Jones has been filmed kissing a Russian singer named Lama Safonova.

Russian celebrity website Life Showbiz posted a video of the X-Men actor kissing Safonova outside a Moscow bar.

Since the video leaked, Jones has claimed the incident was a "set-up", declaring his love for wife Tanya.



"I am humiliated, embarrassed and very sorry," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"I was totally set up at 2am in the morning when leaving a party. I totally love my wife Tanya and my two children."

Friends of the former footballer said that he was trapped in a sting operation by Safonova's companions after they got him drunk.

"They got Vinnie legless and he didn't know what he was doing," one said.

"She was coming on to him strongly and, in the state he was in, he gave in to temptation. Tanya is utterly devastated and doesn't want to see him. Vinnie loves her to bits and knows he's been a fool. He is desperate for her to forgive him."

However, the singer posted a photo of herself with Jones 13 days before the video was reportedly filmed.

Jones had been in Moscow to film a US TV documentary in the capital.
