Michael leaked a phone call from Lindsay last week that apparently took place during an altercation between the Mean Girls star and her mother Dina Lohan.
Lindsay is heard in the tape saying Dina was "on cocaine", but the actress has since admitted her comments were misleading and that her mother was not on drugs.
Michael has now released a statement to Page Six in which he blamed some of Lindsay's friends for her recent personal trauma.
"I am very upset with the crowd around Lindsay," he said.
"My advice to ALL the negative influences in Lindsay and my other children's lives is, this time, you have crossed the line and bitten off a lot more than you can chew! My family will not be subject to your misguided morals and ways."
He added a warning to the alleged bad influences in Lindsay's life: "There WILL BE changes!! Just watch."
Michael was married to Lindsay's mother Dina from 1985 to 2007, although the couple reportedly split years before their break-up.
Lindsay has not responded to her father's latest comments.
It was recently reported that Lindsay will sit for a 'no holds barred' interview with Barbara Walters in the next few weeks.
