Harry Potter star Sir Michael Gambon is to become a father at the age of 66.
The actor, who plays Hogwarts headmaster Professor Dumbledore in the films, has been dating 41-year-old Philippa Hart for over five years. Gambon is still married to wife Anne, but they are separated.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Philippa was approaching 40 at the time and was keen to have a baby - and despite his age Michael saw no reason not to. He can afford to provide for it and wants her to be happy. But he's no intention of giving up his freedom. He likes to fly his plane at weekends."
Hart is due to give birth in May. She does not yet live with veteran actor.
