Victoria Jackson: 'Gay marriage would make God mad' - video

By
Former Saturday Night Live star Victoria Jackson has once again expressed opposition to same-sex marriage.

Jackson has made numerous statements critical of the LGBT community in recent years, including condemning Fox for airing a gay kiss on Glee in 2011.

The comic was confronted about her opposition to same-sex unions while appearing on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday (October 16).

"You have to take it up with God. God made the rules," Jackson said. "He made a man and woman's bodies fit together, he made the Ten Commandments. I believe the Bible is God's word and I base all my world view on the Bible."

She added: "I have gay friends... I don't make their identity their sexuality. To me, he's my fun, theatre-loving, funny friend... why is his identity his sexuality?"

Jackson then went on to say that she doesn't actually believe "there's such a thing as gay marriage" recognised by the Bible, leading Stern to suggest that the definition of marriage should be redefined to include gays and lesbians.

"That would make God mad," Jackson responded.

The ex-SNL actress previously made controversial comments in December 2011, when she suggested that Barack Obama had allowed Egyptian group the Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate the US government.
