Ronald Fenty said that he hopes his daughter gets married one day, and doesn't mind if she weds Brown as long as it makes her happy.
"Whatever makes her happy. I hope one day she will get married. Everyone adores Chris, he's a super guy," The Sun quotes him as saying.
"The family loved Chris Brown before they met him. I always thought he was extremely talented. He is a good person and always gave me great respect."
Brown, who is still on probation after being convicted of assaulting Rihanna in 2009, recently revealed that he'd split from Karrueche Tran because of his "renewed friendship" with the singer.
The pair have since been spotted kissing in a club and are rumoured to be planning to go public with their relationship. However, some of Rihanna's friends are said to be less supportive of the idea.
"I wouldn't be surprised if she married him just to show that she and Chris don't care what anyone thinks and can do whatever they want," a source said.
"It's kind of scary. Their reconciliation has already upset her friends and management. They're an explosive combination."
Fenty has previously backed their reunion, stating that they are "perfect" for each other.
