Bobby Brown has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for failing to pay £9,670 in child support.
The 'My Prerogative' singer, who is in the process of divorcing his estranged wife Whitney Houston, was arrested over the weekend while visiting one of his daughters in Massachusetts.
He was issued with an arrest warrant in October after he failed to show up at a hearing on overdue child support for Kim Ward, the mother of two of his children.
Brown's lawyer Phaedra Parks said: "Although this agreement was put in place when he was Bobby Brown the star, this agreement is being enforced when he is not always able to find work.
"He hasn't made an album in quite some years."
