Dame Helen Mirren could be invited to meet the Queen to celebrate her Oscar success.
The 61-year-old won the Best Actress gong at Sunday's Academy Awards for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen.
The film's director Stephen Frears has previously stated said that he, Mirren and screenwriter Peter Morgan could be paying a visit to the reigning monarch next month.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: "It is speculation, but we are looking at a number of options.”
