Sophie Ellis-Bextor has lavished praise on her fellow British pop stars Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse.
The 27-year-old singer, who returned to the UK top ten this week with 'Catch You', her first single in three years, is thrilled that Allen and Winehouse are putting the personality back into the pop charts.
She said: "I'm glad to see the emergence of people with a brain and personality in pop like Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. Lily is someone I've known for a while. It's been a whirlwind for her and I sympathise over her struggling with touring on her own."
