Ricci admits to nearly quitting acting

Christina Ricci has admitted that she came close to quitting the acting profession - but her role in the new film Black Snake Moan saved her.
She explained how her position in the film industry was unclear, and that in her mind getting the part she wanted in the film clarified where she stood.
The actress told WENN: "I told my therapist if I didn't get the part I was going to quit.
"What I meant was that it so seemed like what I should be doing that, if I didn't get it, I would have no idea of what it was that people wanted me to be doing in this industry and what I was supposed to be doing."
Ricci stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Justin Timberlake in the film.
