EastEnders actor Owen is known to be good friends with charity entrepreneur Konecki, and is said to have been asked to have a "close" involvement in their son's life.

"Sid is over the moon for Adele and his friend Simon," a friend of Owen told the Daily Star.
"He loves both of them dearly and in all the excitement of the baby news he let slip that they wanted him to be closely involved with their son."
The insider added that Owen will enjoy helping to look after his friends' children until he starts a family of his own.
"Sid longs for a child of his own and he's brilliant around kids. He has nieces and nephews and is always doing impressions for them.
"Sid sent a massive bouquet, presents for the baby and a card to Adele.
"Until he settles down with the right girl and has his own family Sid plans to lavish his friends' and brother's children with love. Sid's pretty hopeful he's a frontrunner to be godfather."
Sid Owen is currently taking part in BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, with Adele recently lending her support to the actor.
Adele gave birth to her first child with Simon Konecki last week.
