Anna Nicole Smith finally buried

Anna Nicole Smith has been buried in a ceremony in the Bahamas.

The former Playboy Playmate died last month but her funeral was delayed by tests and family conflict over her body. According to the Daily Mail, her mother Virgie Arthur even tried to halt the burial with an attempted legal challenge less than an hour before.

However, the ceremony did go ahead, with Arthur reportedly arriving more than 40 minutes' late, while crowds waited outside the island's Mount Horeb Baptist Church.

Smith's coffin was covered in a pink blanket and received on a red carpet, while guests were also all asked to wear something in her favourite colour - pink.

Both Howard K Stern, Smith's boyfriend, and Larry Birkhead, her ex-partner who launched a legal challenge over who fathered her daughter Dannielynn.
