The supermodel announced on Twitter that she would be breaking with tradition and postponing the event until Christmas.

Posting a photo of her wrapped up warm in a coat on a windswept New York street, Klum wrote: "Hope you & your loved ones are safe after the storm.
"Cancelling my Halloween party...postponing to a haunted Christmas."
Klum had planned to attend the event dressed as Cleopatra and previewed her lavish golden costume to fans in the run-up to the aborted event.

The 39-year-old has dressed as a monkey, a robot and a skinless body in previous years.
The 2012 party would have been the first since Klum's separation from husband Seal in January.
