Macca feels confident over legal battle

Sir Paul McCartney has admitted that he is now feeling confident about his legal battle with estranged wife Heather Mills.

The former Beatle told friends that the judge is "a good guy" who is "on our side" after spending two days at the High Court in London.

Macca's legal team has countered Heather's claims that Sir Paul attacked and mocked her during their time together. It is also believed that the 64-year-old's lawyers have drawn up a list of "lies" told by Heather over the years in an attempt to prove that she is untrustworthy.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Heather thought everything would be very simple. She was gobsmacked by how Paul countered all her points. Paul had not only addressed the things she has put in her petition. He had also prepared a dossier which he believes proves the lies she has told over the years.

"He wants to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that she is a liar. The more Paul can discredit her, even over the smallest lie, the stronger his case becomes."
