The album beats Take That's Beautiful World into second spot, in a reversal of fortunes from this week's singles chart.
Last week's number one and two, Back To Black by Amy Winehouse and Mika's Life In Cartoon Motion, are pushed simultaneously to three and four, while Snow Patrol's Eyes Open completes the top five.
New entry Hayley Westenra debuts at number 9 with her album Treasure
