Laurence steps in to protect Billie

Laurence Fox stepped in to protect his girlfriend Billie Piper when a drunk fan lunged at her in central London last night.

The 28-year-old actor, who is currently starring opposite Piper in a London production of Christopher Hampton's Treats , pushed the fan away from Piper as he tried to grab her.

The former Doctor Who star was trying to leave the Wyndhams Theatre in central London, where Treats is showing, at the time of the incident.
