Britney Spears splashes out online

Britney Spears has splashed out £1,500 on an online shopping spree to pass the time at her rehabilitation clinic.

The troubled pop princess ordered £1,500 worth of hats, dresses and sunglasses from hip Los Angeles boutique Intuition while logged on at the Promises rehabilitation clinic in Malibu.

She then sent her cousin Ali and a personal assistant to collect her items from the store.

Jill Paget, who works at Intuition, said: "Britney went online several times in the past few days and bought £1500 worth of stuff. She ordered them from inside rehab and then her assistant came to pick them up.

"We hear she is actually in good spirits at the moment."
