Report: Mills wants £10k a day

A report has claimed Heather Mills is demanding a divorce settlement worth £10,000 a day in her court battle with Sir Paul McCartney.

She has worked out how much she needs to spend and has come up with a figure of more than £3.5 million a year, according to The Sun.

Friends of the former Beatle apparently told the paper Mills was otherwise prepared to settle for a £40 million one-off payment.

However, Sir Paul is said to be fighting the offers and insisting his fortune is less than his estranged wife is claiming.

“Heather is making extremely large demands considering the brevity of the marriage," a source told the paper. “Paul wants to be as generous as possible but the trouble is his fortune has been grossly exaggerated.

“He is certainly worth considerably less than the £825 million figure in The Sunday Times Rich List. The real figure is probably £500 million or less.”
