Alec Baldwin ignores stalker's pleas to drop charges

By
Alec Baldwin has chosen to ignore the pleas of the woman charged with allegedly stalking him.

Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin faces serious legal trouble, after being accused of harassing Baldwin with unannounced visits and emails after a night spent together in 2010.

WENN reports that Sabourin was eventually arrested outside the Manhattan home of the 30 Rock star, claiming that she was searching for "answers" from the actor.

The legal teams for both Baldwin and the actress are attempting to reach an out-of-court settlement in a bid to dodge a trial hearing.

On Friday (November 9), Sabourin issued a public statement via her Twitter account, begging Baldwin to drop the charges against her.

The message read: "I'm humiliated + destroyed + exhausted… Alec Baldwin broke my reputation, money, work… family + friends.

"Above all, he destroyed my dreams + ability 2 (to) believe in love + justice + 2 trust again… Want 2 call Alec Baldwin direct with no lawyers interfering 2 fix this mess…

"Can't take it anymore… Why Alec Baldwin maintain my injustice + pain when he know I suffer… I want my charges to drop 2 be free again (sic)."

While he has not responded directly to Sabourin, Baldwin did send a message on his microblog shortly afterward saying: "U (sic) can create all the false Twitter accts u want in order to make your case. But you don't testify in court via Twitter. Y'all get me now?"
