The former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actor filed the papers back in August, reports TMZ.
The documents state that he has $1.8 million in assets, but also owes $1.73m. He specifically owes $1,689,704 to various banks, including mortgage debts.
Dourdan currently claims that his monthly disposable income is just $321. He earns $14,883 each month, but $14,562 is said to go on bills.
However, the actor "anticipates major acting roles" in the future, which he is hoping will help pay a large portion of the debt.
He reportedly filed an injunction on August 30 to prevent his home in Venice, California being put up for auction. He filed for bankruptcy on the same day.
Dourdan has faced several legal troubles over the past few years following his exit from CSI in 2008.
He was arrested on felony battery charges for allegedly breaking his girlfriend's nose in November 2011. He was given a three-year restraining order after pleading not guilty.
In June 2011, he was arrested for drug possession after being involved in a serious car accident. However, the charges were later dropped. He was also arrested for possessing cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and other drugs back in 2008.
