Take That 'tried to block musical'
Take That tried to stop a musical about them being produced, it has been reported.

They were originally behind the Never Forget stage show but, according to The Sun, withdrew their backing when their first comeback tour proved successful.

Now the show has gone ahead - and tickets gone on sale - the boys are considering legal action, says the paper. It says those involved with the show were surprised sales were going ahead without the band's support.

“The announcement was as much a shock to some of the production team as it was to Take That," said a source. "The band didn’t want it going ahead like this and tried to stop it.”

In a statement on their website, Take That said: “The band wish their fans and the general public to know this production is absolutely and 100 per cent nothing to do with Take That.”

However, Tristan Baker, the show's producer, commented: “The show is going ahead. The band are currently not involved but the door is always open."
